Now, you understand what intuition is, how to quiet the noise to hear it more clearly, and how to distinguish it from fear. But intuition is like a muscle—it grows stronger the more you use it. Developing trust in your inner guidance takes consistent practice and patience.
In this blog post, I’ll share practical exercises to help you strengthen your intuition and build the confidence to follow it. These techniques are easy to incorporate into your daily life and are designed to enhance your connection to your inner wisdom.
Why Practice is Key to Trusting Intuition
For many of us, the challenge isn’t that we lack intuition—it’s that we’ve been conditioned to ignore or doubt it. Society often prioritises logic and reason over feelings, making it easy to dismiss those intuitive nudges.
By practicing regularly, you can:
Recognise the unique ways your intuition speaks to you.
Build confidence in following your intuitive guidance.
Strengthen the connection between your conscious mind and your inner knowing.
The exercises below are designed to help you reconnect with your intuition and trust it in both small and significant decisions.
1. Daily Intuitive Journaling
Journaling is a powerful tool for deepening your intuitive awareness. By writing down your thoughts, emotions, and insights, you create a space for your intuition to emerge.
How to Practice:
Set aside 5-10 minutes each day to journal.
Begin by writing freely about your day, your feelings, or any decisions you’re facing.
After a few minutes, pause and ask yourself: “What does my intuition want me to know right now?”
Write down whatever comes to mind—words, images, or feelings. Don’t judge or overanalyse; just let it flow.
Over time, you’ll notice patterns in your intuitive messages, helping you trust them more.
2. Small Decision Practice
Strengthening your intuition doesn’t always require life-altering decisions. Start by using your intuition for smaller, everyday choices, like what to eat for lunch or which route to take home.
How to Practice:
When faced with a small decision, pause and take a deep breath.
Ask yourself: “What feels right in this moment?”
Notice any sensations in your body or flashes of thought that arise.
Follow through on your intuitive choice and observe the outcome.
As you practice with small decisions, you’ll build confidence in your ability to trust your intuition in larger situations.
3. Visualisation for Intuitive Clarity
Visualization helps you tap into your subconscious mind, where intuition resides. This exercise can be especially helpful when you’re feeling stuck or uncertain.
How to Practice:
Find a quiet space and close your eyes.
Take a few deep breaths to relax your body and mind.
Visualise the decision or situation in question. Imagine yourself making one choice, and then another.
Pay attention to how each scenario feels in your body. Does one option feel lighter or more aligned?
Use these sensations to guide your decision.
Visualisation not only strengthens your intuition but also helps you feel more confident in your choices.
4. Strengthen Your “Yes” and “No” Awareness
One of the simplest ways intuition communicates is through a sense of “yes” or “no.” This exercise helps you become more attuned to these signals.
How to Practice:
Sit quietly and think about something you absolutely love (e.g., your favourite food or a cherished memory).
Notice how your body responds. You might feel light, open, or energised—this is your body’s “yes.”
Next, think about something you strongly dislike or disagree with.
Notice the difference in how your body feels. You might feel tense, heavy, or closed—this is your body’s “no.”
Practice this regularly to refine your awareness of these intuitive signals.
5. Track Your Intuitive Hits
One of the best ways to strengthen your intuition is to recognise when it’s right. Keeping a record of your “intuitive hits” helps you see how often your inner guidance leads to positive outcomes.
How to Practice:
Create a dedicated space in your journal.r Each time you have an intuitive nudge—track intuitive moments.
whether it’s a gut feeling, a dream, or a sudden insight—write it down.
Note the situation, what your intuition told you, and the outcome.
Reflect on your entries over time to build trust in your intuitive abilities.
This practice helps you see patterns and reinforces your confidence in following your inner voice.
Trusting the Process
Strengthening your intuition is a journey, not a destination. There will be moments of doubt or uncertainty, and that’s okay. The key is to stay committed to the practice, knowing that each step brings you closer to a deeper connection with your inner self.

The exercises in this post are just the beginning. In what was going to be my upcoming free ebook, "How to Connect with and Trust Your Intuition," but as you may have noticed I've decided to blog post the chapters instead. I’ll guide you in online classes available next year through these chapters and some advanced practices as we progress, including how to use intuition in relationships, career decisions, and personal growth. You’ll also learn how to balance intuition with logic, creating a holistic approach to decision-making.

My favorite way of practicing my intuition is letting it lead me to a good car park haha and if there's no carpark I know it's for a good reason
